As we are focusing the organisation of this years event around this website (publishing the regulations, results and other important documentation) we encourage you to Click here to join the Darran Beynon Memorial Rally 2005 mailing list.
You will not be able to obtain traditional paper-based regualtions - because we are aiming to reduce admin costs which will further enable us to divert more money to our favoured 2005 charities.
Progress has been steady organising the event, and lots of the key behind-the-scenes work has been completed. Rally veterans Rob Richardson and Simon Fowler are doing an excellent job mentoring Simon Millar and Jason Sugden - who are heading up the organisation of the event.Ammanford Motor Club, is proud to announce its plans to host a Novice Rally, planned for October 2005. The rally is in memory of a much valued member of our Club who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident 31st of October 2004. As one of many close friends, I can honestly say a day has not passed where I have not thought about Daz, and just wished he was still with us.
Daz, was a skilled Navigator who was well known and respected throughout the Rallying community. He was passionate about Rallying and was an excellent mechanic having plans to begin a business with his closest friend Jason. They were going to restore Escorts and complete Rally preparation of other vehicles. It is the wish of his family, friends, and the club, that the Darran Beynon Memorial Rally will take place in October.
Progress has been fantastic and well ahead of schedule with club members already producing an excellent route travelling approximately 100 miles. PR exercises are due to take place shortly.
Ammanford Motor Club will be raising money for a local charity, Carmarthen Special Needs School. We will be collecting money with immediate effect so please do not be shy to donate ASAP. You can contact me through the web site and I will be more than happy to organise any donations small or large.
I will keep you all up to date via the Web Site, as the Regs for the Rally will be obtained by downloading them from our Web Site. The rally will be electronic with notices, results, etc posted on the Web Site.
