Thank you to all of the spectators participants and everybody involved we will be donating the profits to one of our nominated charities as soon as the dust settles.

We have sent a message to all members of the Mel Harries Memorial Mailing list on June 1 2005 to notify interested parties of the availability of the Entry Form and Regs.


Parties who had joined the list but failed to confirm their email address information for whatever reason were called on the telephone number provided (you did consent to relevant contacts when you signed up) and notified the old fashioned way.

It has been a really slow start with people signing up to take part in the Karting event on the 23rd of July. This will be the last time I organise Karting as there is so much work involved and such little return from people.

Karting Event is going to be held in Porthcawl Karting Centre. This event is going to a 5 hour endurance race with pit stops for fuel and driver change overs only. An awesome indoor + outdoor track has been designed with over 10 challenging bends.

Practice laps for all and kit is provided but if you have your own helmet with a visor and your own overalls you can use them. Event is booked for Saturday 23rd JULY. Arrival at 10 AM for a 11 AM Race Start.

The route for this years Mel Harries Memorial event is a real tough cookie and will be a challenge for the experienced Road Ralliers amongst you - even more so for the Novices!

The Darran Beynon Memorial rally however has been devised as a Novice event so if you want to cut your teeth on a slightly more mellow Road Rally this is an event not to be missed!
